Privacy at Runway

Runway Youth Development Inc. respects the trust of families, young people, supporters, and community members. This policy explains what information the Runway website currently collects, how it may be used, and the choices available to visitors.

Effective date: August 31, 2026

Last updated: August 31, 2026

This policy applies to the Runway Youth Development website. It does not automatically govern external websites or services, including the external community survey described in Section 6.

In plain language

  • No account is needed to use this website.
  • The website does not process enrollment.
  • The website does not process payments or donations.
  • Runway does not use advertising trackers on this website.
  • Visitors may voluntarily provide information by emailing Runway, submitting the external community survey, or signing up for email updates.
  • The community survey is hosted externally by Google Forms — see Section 6.
  • The email-update signup is an external Google Form. Runway has not yet connected a separate mass-email sending provider, so it is not yet sending newsletters — see Section 7.

1. Information Visitors Choose to Provide

Runway’s website may receive information that visitors choose to share, such as:

  • Email addresses submitted through the external email-update form hosted on Google Forms (see Section 7)
  • Information included in emails visitors send to Runway — such as a name, contact details, and message content
  • Community-survey responses submitted through the external Google Form (see Section 6)
  • Volunteer, partnership, sponsorship, in-kind, or general-interest information sent by email through the pathways described on Runway’s Get Involved, Support, and Contact pages

Please don’t send the following through regular email:

  • Social Security numbers
  • Banking or payment-card information
  • Medical records
  • Background-check documents
  • Government identification
  • Detailed information about a child
  • Enrollment documents
  • Other sensitive or confidential information

Submitting an email inquiry, survey response, or update-signup request does not create an enrollment, volunteer, donor, partnership, employment, or service relationship with Runway.

2. Information Collected Automatically

Runway has not yet selected a hosting provider or deployed this website publicly. Once the site is hosted, like most websites, basic technical request information may be automatically processed by the hosting provider, which may include:

  • IP address
  • Browser and device type
  • Requested pages
  • Date and time of access
  • Referring page
  • Basic diagnostic, security, or server-log information

This kind of technical information is typically processed to deliver, secure, maintain, and troubleshoot a website. Runway does not personally review or permanently retain every server log.

3. Cookies, Analytics & Tracking

The Runway website does not currently use advertising trackers or nonessential analytics cookies.

Essential technical behavior from your browser or a future hosting provider may still occur as a normal part of loading and securing the website.

Runway is not promising that this will never change. If analytics or other tracking technology is added later, this policy will be updated to describe it.

4. How Runway Uses Information

When applicable, information Runway receives may be used to:

  • Respond to questions
  • Send requested organizational updates, once Runway connects a mass-email sending provider
  • Review community feedback submitted through the survey
  • Understand interest in planned programs
  • Evaluate volunteer, partnership, sponsorship, or in-kind inquiries
  • Improve website content
  • Maintain website security and reliability
  • Meet applicable legal or recordkeeping responsibilities

Runway has not verified that the external community survey is configured to collect anonymous responses, so this policy does not claim that survey responses are anonymous.

5. How Information May Be Shared

Runway does not sell or rent personal information for money.

Information may be processed or shared only as reasonably necessary with:

  • Service providers that may support website hosting or email delivery, once selected
  • Google, when visitors use the external community survey or the email-update form hosted on Google Forms
  • Professional advisors or organizational personnel with a legitimate need to know
  • Authorities, when required by law or necessary to protect safety or legal rights
  • A successor organization, if Runway later undergoes a lawful organizational transaction

Runway does not claim that information is never shared under any circumstance — the categories above describe when sharing may reasonably occur.

6. Community Survey & Google Forms

  • Runway’s community survey opens on an external Google Forms page.
  • Information submitted there is processed using Google’s service and becomes available to Runway as the form owner.
  • Google’s own privacy terms and technical practices may also apply to that submission.
  • Visitors should review the form carefully before submitting.
  • Visitors should avoid entering sensitive information the form doesn’t specifically request.
  • Completing the survey is voluntary.
  • Survey participation does not enroll anyone in Runway programming.

Using Google Forms does not mean Google sponsors, endorses, or partners with Runway. You can review Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

7. Email Updates

  • Runway’s email-update signup is hosted through Google Forms.
  • Visitors voluntarily provide their email address and any other optional information the form requests.
  • Google processes the form submission through its service.
  • Submitted responses become available to Runway as the form owner.
  • Signing up does not enroll anyone in Runway programming and does not create membership, enrollment, or program eligibility.
  • The update form is intended for adults.
  • People under 18 should ask a parent or legal guardian to subscribe for them.

Subscribers may contact Runway at the contact address listed on the Contact page to withdraw their request for future updates. Once Runway begins sending public email campaigns, those messages will include appropriate unsubscribe instructions.

Runway has not yet selected or connected a separate mass-email sending provider, so no automated mailing provider and no automated unsubscribe links currently exist. Using Google Forms does not mean Google sponsors, endorses, or partners with Runway, and form responses are not anonymous. You can review Google’s privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy.

8. Children's & Youth Privacy

Runway’s mission is youth development, but this public website is currently informational content intended for parents, caregivers, supporters, and community members.

  • The website does not currently provide youth accounts, online youth programming, or enrollment.
  • Runway does not knowingly use the website to collect personal information directly from children under 13.
  • Children under 13 should not submit personal information through the website or update signup.
  • A parent or legal guardian should contact Runway on a child’s behalf.
  • Minors ages 13–17 should involve a parent, guardian, educator, or trusted adult before sending personal information.
  • If a parent or guardian believes a child submitted personal information, they may contact Runway to request review or deletion, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.

9. Data Retention

Runway intends to retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose it was received, responsible nonprofit recordkeeping, dispute resolution, security, or applicable legal requirements.

Retention may differ depending on the type of communication or record — Runway has not adopted a single fixed deletion schedule.

10. Data Security

Runway uses or intends to use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to its current website operations. No email, website, or electronic-storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

11. Visitor Choices

Visitors may:

  • Choose not to submit optional information
  • Stop completing the external survey before submission
  • Request removal from future update emails
  • Ask Runway to review, correct, or delete information they previously provided, when reasonably identifiable and subject to applicable requirements
  • Contact Runway with a privacy concern

Runway may need enough information to verify and process a request, and can’t promise that every deletion request will be completed when records must be retained for legal, security, or organizational reasons.

13. Policy Changes

This policy may be revised as Runway:

  • Connects an email provider
  • Adds forms or enrollment
  • Selects hosting
  • Introduces analytics
  • Adds payment or donation processing
  • Begins operating programs

The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be revised when material changes are published. Runway does not currently have a system in place to provide individual notice of every update.
