Built With Altus, Not Just for Altus
Before Runway finalizes programming, hours, or services, we’re asking Altus families directly. Here’s what we’ve learned so far.
A youth center only works if it’s built around what families actually need. So instead of guessing, Runway is asking first — and letting the answers shape what gets built.
What Altus Families Are Telling Us
These are early findings from Runway's first 18 community-survey responses — not a scientific sample or a final market study. The survey remains open.

94.4%

88.9%
want after-school programming
83.3%

Based on the 17 respondents who answered this specific question.
Early Interest Is Strong — and Specific
The large majority of early respondents say they’d likely use Runway, and most expect to come back often — not just occasionally.
After-school and summer programming are the clearest priorities so far, with a real need for school-break and closure-day coverage close behind. Families also pointed to a specific window: weekday afternoons, roughly 3:00 to 6:00 p.m.
These patterns are early, but they’re consistent — and they’re helping Runway focus on what to plan for first.
From Findings to Planning Priorities
Nothing here is final — these are directions the early data is pointing us toward as programming, staffing, and facility plans take shape.
After-school demand & afternoon preference
88.9% want after-school programming, and 82.4% of those who answered our hours question preferred 3:00–6:00 p.m. Early after-school planning is centering on that window.
Summer interest
94.4% want summer programming — the strongest single response so far. Full-day summer programming is a planning priority.
Frequency of use
72.2% expect to participate several times a week or daily, which is shaping how consistent and how many days a week early programming may need to run.
School-break coverage
83.3% indicated a definite need for school-break or closure-day programming, so that coverage is being scoped alongside after-school and summer plans.
Runway’s community survey is still open. Every response adds to an early, informal picture — not a final one — and continues to shape what Runway plans to build.
